INTERMEDIATE INTERIOR DESIGNERÂ (hybrid-remote, flexible, project based)
Summary:
​
Patrick Ediger Interior Design, a luxury residential design firm, is seeking a driven and resourceful Intermediate Interior Designer to join our team. This is a hybrid-remote, flexible and project based position with the potential to transition into full-time employment.
In this role, you will be responsible for the success of interior design projects from start to finish, working closely with our Principal Designer and internal/external teams. You will contribute to all stages of project development, from research and concept creation to final implementation and project administration.

Location: Hybrid-Remote (remote independent work + onsite job-site meetings)
​
Compensation Range: $45-$65/hour, based on experience
​
Commitment: 20-30 hours per week, flexible schedule
​

How This Role is Measured:
​
Success in this role is measured by the timely completion of tasks, increased efficiency, and clear project status tracking. Clients should be dazzled by the results, and the Principal Designer should be freed to focus on creative and business development endeavors. Meeting and exceeding design project and company goals is a key indicator of success.

Required Credentials:
​
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design (or other similar education or work experience)
-
4-6 years’ experience in luxury residential interior design and project management
-
High level understanding of the interior design process and furniture specifications​
​
​
Technical Skills:
​
-
Software Proficiencies: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Google Docs, Studio Designer
-
Beneficial software experience: VectorWorks, Adobe Suite, Notion, and Canva
​
Required Skillset:
​
-
Developed, bespoke, and innovative design sense
-
Intermediate/High level understanding of the construction process
-
Intermediate/High level understanding of different trades, how they interact, and the order of operations when multiple trades are involved

Growing aptitude to lead a job-site meeting with multiple stakeholders (eg. contractors, sub-contractors, clients, etc)
-
High level experience designing and documenting custom furnishings, textiles, millwork, rugs, wallcoverings, lampshades, bedding, etc.

Excellent at time management and self-management skills

Excellent written/verbal communication and strong analytical skills

Driven to complete tasks and able to ‘figure things out’ when needed

Gets our target client, their pain points and aspirations, and how we can best serve them to produce their desired results

Able to predict what will be needed for project success and enjoys optimizing daily tasks

Key Responsibilities:
​
You will play a primary role in sourcing, development, coordination, documentation, and execution of design projects. You will also be responsible for the following tasks:

Collaborate with Principal Designer and internal/external teams on various project deliverables

Conduct research and development, source materials and furniture, and produce presentation materials

Coordinate communication between internal/external team members
-
Prepare material and furnishing proposals
-
Coordinate construction documentation & administration, submittals, site visits and quality control
-
Design, document and coordinate custom furnishings, textiles, millwork, rugs, wallcoverings, lampshades, bedding, etc.

Oversee and track project budgets and timelines
-
Coordinate and oversee project installations
-
Communicate with vendors and trades
-
Prepare project status reports for the Principal

Coordinate with vendors to rectify deficiencies in deliverables

Valid Driver’s License

Must have reliable transportation

Business casual attire expected for onsite/job-site meetings
