Once those foundational elements are established, we return to the furnishings, carefully curating and installing each piece so the finished home feels cohesive, personal, and thoughtfully complete.To bring that vision to life, we draw from a trusted network of custom furniture makers, artisans, manufacturers, antique dealers, and specialty vendors. While we source exceptional pieces from around the world, we also rely heavily on the extraordinary community of craftspeople and furniture manufacturers here in Southern California, allowing us to create homes that are distinctive, beautifully made, and deeply personal.

Every project is different, but thoughtful design takes time. The overall timeline depends on the scope of the project, the complexity of the design, permitting requirements, construction schedules, and product lead times.Our Discovery & Conceptualization phase typically takes four to six weeks. Depending on the size and complexity of the project, the Design & Development phase generally takes four to six months. Construction timelines vary based on the scope of work and are established in collaboration with your builder and project team.Our process is designed to move projects forward efficiently while giving every important decision the attention it deserves. That balance helps reduce costly revisions, supports a smoother construction process, and results in a home that feels thoroughly considered.

Most of our work involves comprehensive renovations, custom homes, and whole-home furnishing projects with overall investments typically beginning around $750,000. Because every project is unique, there is no upper limit to the overall investment. The final cost is shaped by the scope of work, the size of the home, the level of customization, and the quality of materials and furnishings.

Our projects are structured in three phases, each with a fee model designed to reflect the nature of the work.Every project begins with a standalone Discovery & Conceptualization phase offered at a flat fee. During this phase, we get to know you, your home, and your goals while developing the overall vision for the project. It also gives both of us the opportunity to determine whether we’re the right fit before committing to a larger design engagement.Once the concept has been approved, we prepare a comprehensive proposal for the remainder of the project. Design services are typically provided for a flat fee based on the scope and complexity of the work, while implementation and construction observation are billed hourly. Because these phases involve coordinating with architects, contractors, vendors, and other project partners, an hourly structure provides the flexibility needed to respond thoughtfully as the project evolves.For furnishings and materials that we purchase on your behalf, we charge a procurement fee that covers the administrative management of the purchasing process. We purchase directly through our network of manufacturers and trade vendors at wholesale pricing whenever available. Even with our procurement fee included, clients are often able to purchase many furnishings for less than comparable retail pricing.

Yes. While our studio is based in Los Angeles, we’ve completed projects throughout California and beyond. Our work has taken us from the beach communities of Malibu and Newport Beach to the desert communities of Palm Springs, as well as Santa Barbara, Montecito, the San Francisco Bay Area, and vacation homes in Colorado and Montana.Thoughtful design is less about geography than it is about communication, planning, and assembling the right team.
