THE PLAYA

The Vision:

Perched along the Pacific, this Los Angeles beach house was conceived as both a private retreat and a gathering place for extended family. Designed for holidays, summer visits, and everyday life by the sea, its palette draws from the sand, sky, and water without relying on a conventional coastal aesthetic. The result feels as chic as it does comfortable.

The Approach:

Working within the home’s existing footprint, this whole-home renovation substantially reworked interior spaces to improve flow and open the home more fully to its sweeping ocean views. Natural materials and layered tones drawn from the surrounding landscape create a connection to the beach beyond, while refined furnishings and tailored details keep the interiors sophisticated, comfortable, and distinctly their own.
